Description
General Information
The position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience.
Travelers must reside more than 100 miles away from any local facilities to be eligible for this role.
Case Types

Procedures include total joints, ORIF, microsurgery, laminectomy, fusion, discectomy, ACDF, Perc TFA for clubfoot, pain injections, and ENT surgeries.
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Education Requirements
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a Board of Nursing and current registration as a Nurse with the state Board of Nursing is required.
Skills Required
- Circulation experience in orthopedic and neurosurgical cases
- Experience in ENT cases

Charting System
Epic - please inform if no previous experience is with Epic for potential approval.
Floating and Orientation
There is potential to float to the Rapid City hospital OR if needed.
Orientation includes 1 day of computer training followed by 2-3 days of training with a preceptor.
Scheduling
- Weekend rotation: Not applicable
- Call: Typically twice per week, discussed in further detail during the manager interview
- Holiday Expectations: 2 out of 4 major holidays (New Year's, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, July 4th)
- Time off Requests: Approval from the Manager required

- Flexibility in Scheduling: The manager is open to four 10-hour shifts; however, 8-hour shifts may be required for vacation coverage.
