Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Overview

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work in a home health setting within the greater Sacramento County area. This role involves providing therapeutic services to patients with various diagnoses, including cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services to patients in their homes.
• Manage a typical caseload of 5-6 patients per day.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records using Cerner charting system.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Work Schedule

This position offers guaranteed hours, with a standard work week of 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• New graduates may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Compensation

Mileage will be reimbursed at the GSA rate with prior approval.

Cancellation Policy

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts for assignments lasting 13 weeks, and up to 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
