Description
General Information
Join our dynamic team in a fast-paced and supportive Operating Room environment. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to our patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
Unit Details
- Number of ORs: 8
- Staffing: Approximately 25 staff members including RNs, CSTs, and anesthesia providers.
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Hours of Operation: 7 AM - 5:30 PM
- EMR System: Meditech
Typical Procedures Performed
- Orthopedic
- ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
- Urology
- Spine
- General Surgery
- Gynecology (GYN)
- Endoscopy
- Plastic Surgery
- Cardiac Surgery
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Preferred or Nice to Have:
- Ability to function in multiple service lines.
- Experience with Meditech.
- Background in transplant and spine procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork skills with both providers and staff. A commitment to exceptional patient care is a priority.
Unit Policies and Responsiveness
- Response time for on-call is required within 30 minutes.
- Call schedule may vary between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd call, including weekdays and weekends over an 8-week period.
