Description

Operating Room Nurse (RN)

General Information

Join our dynamic team in a fast-paced and supportive Operating Room environment. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to our patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Unit Details

  • Number of ORs: 8
  • Staffing: Approximately 25 staff members including RNs, CSTs, and anesthesia providers.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Hours of Operation: 7 AM - 5:30 PM
  • EMR System: Meditech

Typical Procedures Performed

  • Orthopedic
  • ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
  • Urology
  • Spine
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Endoscopy
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Cardiac Surgery

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Preferred or Nice to Have:

  • Ability to function in multiple service lines.
  • Experience with Meditech.
  • Background in transplant and spine procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork skills with both providers and staff. A commitment to exceptional patient care is a priority.

Unit Policies and Responsiveness

  • Response time for on-call is required within 30 minutes.
  • Call schedule may vary between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd call, including weekdays and weekends over an 8-week period.
