Unit Information
Unit: PC2 Progressive Care
Location: Aurora, CO
Number of Beds: 345 - 3-time Magnet Designation
Staffing: Float pool of approximately 80 staff members
Patient Ratios: 1:5 during day and night shifts, which may vary between units
Type of Equipment: Various medical equipment
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs.
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and policies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Maintain patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care experience in a Progressive Care Unit.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
Preferred:
- Experience with Meditech software.
- Chemo certification to provide care on the Oncology unit.

- Desire for continuous learning and willingness to care for diverse patient populations with both acute and chronic conditions.
