Description

Registered Nurse - PCU

Location:

Plano, TX

Position Summary:

The PCU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring stepdown services. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shift Details:

  • Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
  • Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
  • Call Requirements: Yes
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hospital experience
  • 2+ years of specialty experience in a stepdown or PCU setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
  • Previous PCU/Stepdown nursing experience

Licensure Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Temporary licenses will not be accepted.

Dress Code:

  • Scrub Color: Royal Blue
  • Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails or gel nails allowed.
  • Hair: Must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder-length or longer. Extreme styles or colors are not permitted.
  • Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible.
  • Piercings: Visible piercings, other than earrings, are prohibited.

Unit Guidelines:

  • Floating Policy: Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.
  • Attendance Policies: Standard company-wide attendance policy will apply.
