Description

Registered Nurse (RN) / Labor & Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care. This position requires adherence to the Nursing Process, as well as compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to Labor and Delivery patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in planning and delivering care.
  • Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
  • Delegate patient care tasks appropriately, considering the education and experience of the team.
  • Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE are required.

Work Schedule

This position is for day shifts, working from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Flexibility to float to other units as needed is required.

Contract Details

This is a 13-week travel contract, with an immediate start date.

Cons

Oil field so renting or hotel rooms are expensive. Patient population is a lot of drug and alcohol withdrawal patients. Minimal drops minimal vents.
