Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care, specifically within neonatal or pediatric populations.

General Information

• Unit Specifics:
• Patient Ratios: To be determined
• Type of Equipment: Servo U & Drager VN500, F&P Bubble CPAP, High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV), High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV), Vaportherm, Heliox therapy
• Documentation System: Epic
• Scheduling Requirements: 7 PM – 12-hour shifts
• Patient Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1+ years experience in Neonatal ICU or Pediatric ICU

Qualifications

• Must Have: At least 1 year of experience in Neonatal or Pediatric Intensive Care
• Advanced Skills:
  • Ability to independently admit and manage ventilated patients in the Pediatric ICU using Servo-U ventilators
  • Set up and manage Heliox therapy through both invasive and non-invasive methods
  • Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation, including the use of BiPAP and CPAP
  • Neonatal skills including the use of Bubble CPAP, Nitric Oxide, and high-frequency ventilation
• Certifications Required: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
