Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position involves providing treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases utilizing advanced technologies and medication delivery systems. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Unit Information

This position is located in the Respiratory NICU/PICU unit. The department structure includes a Director, Manager, a Supervisor/Charge Therapist per shift, and regular staff members. The unit is well-equipped with high-flow devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers. Documentation is performed using the Meditech system.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and treatment for patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize advanced technologies for medication delivery and patient evaluation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Float to adult floors as necessary to provide nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, and CPT.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience.
• Experience in NICU/PICU settings.

Preferred Skills

• Previous Meditech experience is highly preferred.
