Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical 2S Stroke

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical 2S Stroke Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical-surgical nursing with a focus on stroke care.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (6 PM - 6 AM)

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse in this role will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality patient care for individuals experiencing strokes and related medical-surgical conditions.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conducting thorough assessments and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responses to treatment.

Qualifications

• Active Florida state or multistate nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing with a focus on stroke care.

Additional Information

• Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs.
• Position may involve working within a facility with multiple beds.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system utilized in the facility.
• Specific scrub colors and dress code requirement will be communicated during the onboarding process.
• Parking arrangements will be provided upon hire.
