Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - Stroke Unit

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg Stroke Unit. This position is essential to providing high-quality care to patients with stroke-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the stroke unit.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs and provide critical interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.

Qualifications

• Active Florida state or multistate nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (NIHSS).
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Medical-Surgical RN, with specific stroke care expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Shift Information

This position is for day shifts, with scheduled hours from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Location

Position available in a facility located in Florida.

Duration

This position is a contract assignment for 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on performance and facility needs.
