ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide critical care for patients in a fast-paced environment. This role involves caring for vent-dependent patients, managing IV drips, and administering sedation as needed. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in critical care and the ability to handle complex medical situations.

Position Details

• DURATION: 13 Weeks
• SHIFT: Nights 7 PM to 7 AM every third weekend
• FLOATING: May be required to float to Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• BLOCK SCHEDULING: Not applicable

Requirements

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Current driver's license
• 1-2 years of critical care experience
• Proficient in critical care skills; no ECHMO or trauma ERRT experience needed

Facility Information

• Location: Kosciusko County, IN
• Number of Beds: 72 beds in the facility
• Unit Capacity: 14 beds in the ICU
• Monthly Department Volume: 175
• Patient Ratio: 3:1 or 2:1 depending on patient type; 1:5 if overflow to Medical/Surgical/Progressive Care Unit

Technology

Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus.

Scope of Role

The ICU RN will be responsible for taking care of critically ill patients, providing high-quality nursing care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
