General Comments
The selected candidate will be scheduled in accordance with facility policy, including working every other weekend and rotating holidays with hospital employees.
Unit Information
This position entails working in a cardiac catheterization lab with the following specifics:
- Number of Labs: 2
- Number of Staff: 10
- Patient Ratios: 1:1, with a 3-man team for on-call
- Type of Equipment: GE
- EMR System: Meditech
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills:
- Required:
- Cath lab experience
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and ventilators
- Preferred:
- Experience with vascular/peripheral interventions
- Electrophysiology experience
Typical Procedures
Common procedures performed in the unit include:
- Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
- Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Shockwave therapy
- Permanent Pacemaker insertion (PPM)
- Support with Impella and IABP
