Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 30
• Number of Staff: 49 FTE, 6 PRN, 2 Leadership
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 (acuity dependent)
• Type of Equipment: Advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines
• EMR: Meditech (transitioning to Expanse on 8/13/26)

Job Overview

The Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Utilize advanced critical thinking and clinical skills in managing trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis cases.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in procedures such as thoracotomy, arterial line placement, and massive transfusion protocol (MTP).

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in both adult and pediatric emergency care.
  • Completion of certifications aligned under HCA Nurse Contract and Pool.
• Required Certifications:
  • ENPC
  • TNCC
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • BLS
  • CPI with TIC
  • NRP and STABLE (preferred)

Work Schedule

Alternate weekends will be required.
