Description
Unit Information
The position is located in a progressive care unit (PCU) specializing in neuro patients.
- Number of Beds: 19
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 Nurses (RN or LVN), 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 Nurses (RN or LVN), 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse
- EMR System: Meditech
General Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the PCU, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring and managing patients' health status
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications
Skills Required:
- Proven competency in progressive care unit practices
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with neuro patients
Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Work Schedule
Candidate must be available to work rotating weekends.
Dress Code
- Nurses: Royal Blue Scrubs
- PCTs: Maroon Scrubs
Years of Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
