Description
General Information
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced maternity unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
Unit Specifics
- 15 Labor Delivery Recovery (LDR) rooms
- 3 OB triage rooms
- 3 Operating Rooms (ORs)
- 4-bay Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- 4 antepartum rooms
- Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Documentation System
- Meditech
- CPN
Scheduling Requirements
Shifts available include 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM.
Floating Policy
Staff may float within the women’s and children’s service line as needed.
Patient Experience Requirements
- Experience in labor and delivery
- Ability to circulate during cesarean sections
- Administration of IV drips such as magnesium sulfate
- Experience with high acuity cases
Advanced Skills Needed
- Experience with a fast-paced labor and delivery unit
- Experience in scrub and circulating roles in the OR is beneficial
Procedures Performed on Unit
- Cesarean sections
- Epidurals
- Spinals
- Cerclage
- External version
Certifications Required
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate
Dress Code
The facility provides scrubs for nursing staff.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a labor and delivery setting is required.
