General Information

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team in the CVOR unit. The role requires a flexible, knowledgeable self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 2 OR suites
• Staff Composition: 6 (3 RNs, 3 CSTs)
• Staff Type: All staff are day shift
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Advanced surgical instruments and technologies
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Procedures Performed

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Thoracotomy
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (Endo AAA)
• Valve Replacement
• Pacemaker Placement

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Required:
  • ACLS & BLS certification
  • Significant experience in CVOR
• Preferred:
  • Experience with scrubbing

The ideal candidate will be flexible, knowledgeable, and a self-motivated individual who can work efficiently within a team.

Work Environment

This position will require floating to the OR as necessary. Staff will be provided with light blue scrubs as part of the dress code.

Schedule Requirements

Candidates must be available for weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities as required.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
