Unit: 70185 Operating Room

Floor: 1st

Number of Operating Rooms: 11

Staffing: 30 total (Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 10 RNs, 10 CSTs, 2 schedulers, 3 anesthesia techs, and 2 orderlies; Night Shift: 1 RN, 1 CST)

Patient Ratios: 1:1

Type of Equipment: Various surgical equipment, including Hana beds, Axis beds, Trios beds, robotic systems, and more.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Expanse

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Provide patient care in the Operating Room setting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Monitor patients' conditions before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Experience in Cardiovascular (CV) surgery is essential.
• Ability to perform vascular and robotic procedures.
• Willingness to take call as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Endovascular experience.
• Moderate sedation experience.
• Ability to assist with orthopedic, ENT, gynecological, and general surgeries.

Typical Procedures Performed:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Endovascular procedures
• ECMO support
• Robotic surgeries
• Various vascular surgeries

Personality Fit

The ideal candidate is a hard worker, capable of assisting others, and has a collaborative spirit.

Certifications Required

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• CNOR certification is a plus, but not mandatory.

Additional Information

The position requires flexibility in case load and the ability to work within a diverse surgical environment, including general, orthopedic, ENT, gynecology, podiatry, urology, plastic, pain management, and ophthalmology surgeries.

Dress Code

Scrubs: Navy blue attire.
