Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology to join our team. This position involves working in a dynamic unit focused on providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing medical and surgical treatments, including chemotherapy.
Unit Information
- Location: Metropolitan area
- Unit Type: Oncology
- Number of Beds: 12
- Staffing per Shift: 2-3 RNs and 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT)
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6
- Type of Equipment: Various medical and surgical equipment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Required Skills:
- Oncology experience
- Medical-Surgical experience
- Preferred Skills:
- Additional medical surgical experience
Typical Procedures Performed
The unit specializes in a variety of medical and surgical procedures, including:
- Medical/Surgical treatments
- Chemotherapy administration
