Description
Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, as this position requires charge responsibilities during night shifts.
Unit Highlights
Location: Las Colinas, TX
Unit: Labor and Delivery
- Number of Beds: 12
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Unit Staffing: 1 unit tech and 1 unit secretary on day shift; support available as needed.
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Special Skills/Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
Shift Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift/Workdays: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month
- Call Requirements: None
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License (temporary license not accepted)
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
- NRP Certification
- FM Certification
- AWHONN Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- RNC Certification
- Experience with Meditech documentation
Unit Procedures
- Circulation of C-Sections
Dress Code
- Scrub Color: Facility-provided scrubs
- Nail Policy: Clean and healthy
- Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors
- Facial Hair: Mustaches, beards, and sideburns should be neatly trimmed
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible
- Piercings: Visible piercings other than earring are prohibited
