- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Job Summary
The Staff Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care using the nursing process. This role includes directing co-workers and delegating tasks appropriate to the role of individual team members in order to provide effective patient care.
Qualifications
Education
Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following:
- Diploma in Nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure/Certification
Must possess a valid license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio and CPR certification.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient based on established pathways.
- Provide quality care according to assessment needs and the established plan of care.
- Educate patients and their families throughout the admission and discharge processes.
- Document nursing processes accurately and legibly.
- Notify physicians of significant observations and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
- Implement physician orders as specified.
- Ensure availability of equipment and supplies for patient care and report malfunctions.
Physical Demand Requirements
This position involves heavy work, requiring the ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequent patient handling may be involved.
Work Environment Considerations
The position requires the ability to manage emotions effectively and maintain self-control in urgent situations. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting empathetically with patients and managing stress in a fast-paced environment.
