Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description

This position involves evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for planning and implementing ongoing therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician and regularly updating treatment plans and home exercise programs. The therapist will independently manage a full caseload and will demonstrate knowledge about when to perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization.

General Job Duties

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients.
• Plan and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs.
• Update treatment plans and home exercise programs regularly.
• Manage a full caseload independently.
• Coordinate with insurance for authorization of treatments.
• Work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as required.

Equipment Utilized

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) – Net Health Therapy
• Meditech

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient and acute settings.
• Must possess a valid Hawaii state license by the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Red Cross is required.

Schedule Requirements

• Days: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Holiday coverage is required.
