Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro Med Surg

Unit Information

Location: Arlington, TX

Unit: 4 North (61901)

Number of Beds: 24
Staffing: 31 staff members
Day Shift Composition: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 Techs, and 1 HUC
Night Shift Composition: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 Techs
Patient Ratios: 6:1
Equipment: Sara Steady
EMR: Meditech
Floating Requirement: None

Job Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Neuro Med Surg unit where fostering a collaborative team environment and maintaining high-quality patient care are prioritized. The nurse will work directly with patients, employing specialized knowledge and skills necessary for the effective delivery of neuro care.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a current state license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

Significant experience in Neuro specialty, particularly Stroke care
More than 3 years of management experience

Typical Procedures

Electroencephalograms (EEGs)
Echocardiograms (EKGs)
Bladder scanning
