Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long Term Care facility located in City, State. In this role, you will provide essential nursing care and support to residents, ensuring their health and well-being in a 26-bed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as charge nurse, overseeing daily operations of the unit.
• Administer medications and perform wound care procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as needed, including physical therapy and social work.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Matrix EMR system.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care (LTC) is essential.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

Work Environment

This position operates in a Long Term Care facility with no clinical involvement with acute rehabilitation. The nurse-to-resident ratio is 1:10 during the day and 1:19 at night.

Facility Information

The facility is equipped to handle patients with common diagnoses, including heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. Oxygen therapy and portable concentrators are available for resident use.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Every other weekend and major holiday shifts required.
• Standard orientation for 2-3 shifts upon onboarding.

Additional Information

There are no requirements for on-call duties or supervising staff. Registered Nurses are not required to read strips or manage IVs or titratable drips. Physician availability is provided by phone as needed for after-hours consultations.
