Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy 21-bed Renal Medical-Surgical unit. This unit specializes in the care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be confident in managing renal-related complications.

Shift Information

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) - Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients.
• Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license (required at submission).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience (renal experience strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination.
• Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory, no training provided).
• Documentation of Epic proficiency is required for consideration.

Holiday coverage is required. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in a high-volume setting.
