Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

Location: Lees Summit, MO

Unit Description:

• Number of Beds: 13
• Number of Staff: 40
• Staffing Structure:
  • Day Shift: 3 RNs (7am), 2-4 Midshift RNs, 2 Techs
  • Night Shift: 3 RNs (7pm), 2-4 Midshift RNs, 1 Tech
• Patient Ratios: 1:3 to 1:4, expanded as needed
• Type of Equipment: GE Monitors
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
• Participate in collaborative team discussions to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Recent experience in emergency room nursing.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC.

Preferred Skills:

• Charge experience within an emergency room setting.
• CPR Instructor certification (CPI) is a plus.
