Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic surgery team. The position involves providing comprehensive patient care across all surgical phases, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 8 Hour Days, Monday through Friday
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week, with potential for up to 40 hours per week
• Call: Intermittent call until 6 PM Monday-Friday, and from 7 AM to 7 PM on weekends for emergencies only
• Weekends: No scheduled weekend hours; emergency call only
• Holidays: Vary, with most major holidays off, but emergency on-call might be required

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care pre-operatively, inter-operatively, and post-operatively.
• Administer conscious sedation (preferred experience with this technique).

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or multistate RN license
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience

Additional Requirements

• Proof of vaccination series or positive titer for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella
• Physician's written proof of immunity for Varicella is acceptable
• Proof of Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years
• Proof of an annual flu vaccine (only required from October 1st to April 1st); no exemptions for contracted employees
• Copy of COVID-19 vaccine documentation, if applicable
• Two TB skin tests, or one Quantiferon Gold, or one chest X-ray within the past 12 months
