Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical Unit. This position requires a compassionate professional who is committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
- Unit Name: Medical Unit
- Number of Beds: 26
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Support Staff: Technicians available
- Type of Equipment: Hoyer lifts, rolling computers, rolling vital signs monitors
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per month
- Floating Policy: May float to Surgical or Acute Rehab
- Preferred Experience: Some Med-Surg experience
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active RN license required, BSN preferred
- Skills Required: Proficient in patient care basics, vital signs, lab limits, medication administration, and controlled substance knowledge
- Advanced Skills: Experience with NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drips
- Procedures Performed: Post-operative care for heart procedure patients returning from the cath lab
- Certifications Required: Current BLS certification
Dress Code
Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs (tops and bottoms).
