Unit Information

Join a dynamic team in the Emergency Department, where you'll play a crucial role in providing high-quality care.

• Number of Beds: 38
• Areas: Rapid, Main, POD 3 (psych safe area)
• Staffing: 7 RNs on Day/Night shifts, 5 on Mid shifts
• Type of Equipment: Ventilators, BiPAP, EKG, Arterial Lines, Belmont, Chest Tubes
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Prioritizing and managing patient care effectively.
• Performing emergency procedures, including port placements and chest tube insertions.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Completion of a de-escalation course; CPI certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Team player with strong communication skills.

Work Schedule

This position requires:

• 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays minimum per 4-week schedule.
• Participation in 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays per year.

The position may require floating to other departments within the facility as needed.
