Location: Richmond, VA
Number of Beds: 16 LDR, 3 OR, 3 Triage, 3 RR
Number of Staff: 70
Staffing Details
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 12 RNs, 2-3 Surgical Techs
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6-7 RNs, 1 Surgical Tech
Patient Ratios
Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines and can vary between 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 depending on patient acuity.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (current within the last 2 years)
- Labor & Delivery experience
- Current NRP and BLS certification
Preferred Skills:
- Experience at facilities with more than 3,000 births per year
- Strong commitment to patient preferences
Typical Procedures Performed
- Labor, delivery, recovery, and triage
- Antepartum care
- Circulating for C-sections
- Initial infant care (excluding admission assessment, eyes, and thighs)
- Breastfeeding assistance
