Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar setting and will provide high-quality care to patients with diverse medical needs.
Unit Information
- Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory Issues such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac stepdown, and postoperative care.
- Specialty Equipment: Temp pacers, Chest tubes, A lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo.
- Ventilator Support: Management of chronic ventilator patients who are unable to be weaned, with assistance from Respiratory Therapy.
- Patient Demographics: Adults aged 18 years and older.
- Number of Beds: 64 beds with 15 designated for Neuro patients.
Shift Information
This position requires a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with floating to other units as needed. Please note that block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU or PCU.
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Valid driver’s license with address matching provided demographics.
- Active New York RN License and all other RN licenses must be verified.
