Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IMCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work in an Intermediate Care Unit specializing in neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory cases.
Unit Details
- Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
- Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds
- Shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
- Floating Required: Yes
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Common Diagnoses
- Neurological Conditions
- Cardiac Issues
- Trauma Cases
- Respiratory Conditions (e.g., COPD)
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Sepsis
- Myocardial Infarction (MI)
- Post-Operative Care
Specialty Equipment
- Temporary Pacemakers
- Chest Tubes
- Arterial Lines
- Bipap Machines
- Neptune Vapo
Patient Demographics
- Ages: 18 years and older
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Active New York nursing license and all RN licenses, verified through NURSYS
