Description

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is a backfill travel position for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The schedule for this position is from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Facility Overview

The facility is a 64-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care hospital serving the Lake Nona and surrounding communities in Orange and Osceola counties. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, including minimally invasive and robotic technology, as well as diagnostic imaging and laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assist physicians during catheterization procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures.
  • Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and lifestyle modifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab or relevant specialty.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Located in Lake Nona, FL, the facility is easily accessible from major highways, providing convenient access for both staff and patients.
