Description
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education, and is responsible for assessing patient needs and initiating appropriate interventions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
- American Heart Association BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a pre-hospital setting, including Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, or EMS
- Clinical experience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or other acute care
- Experience in outpatient or walk-in clinic
- Proficient in computer skills and electronic health record systems
Essential Job Functions
- Collect comprehensive patient data relevant to their health or situation (Assessment)
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
- Identify expected outcomes for individualized patient care plans
- Develop and implement a plan of care to achieve expected outcomes
- Promote health and maintain a safe environment
- Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
- Achieve knowledge and competency reflective of current nursing practices
- Evaluate one's own nursing practice based on professional standards and regulations

- Incorporate research findings into clinical practice

Schedule Requirements
This role requires consistent attendance and may involve working beyond the standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Occasional sitting for extended periods
- Repeatedly standing and walking in the work area
- Rarely climbing ladders or stairs
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Repeatedly reaching overhead
- Using fine-finger movements continuously
- Maintaining close visual acuity for data analysis and patient care
- Exposing to potential bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
Holiday Coverage
Holiday coverage is required for this role.
Minimum Years of Experience
2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Certifications / Requirements
- Current BLS/BCLS certification is mandatory.
