Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby/Nursery

Unit Information

This is a Maternity Care Center providing comprehensive services to mothers and newborns.

• Number of Beds: 9 Labor and Delivery (LDR), 8 Postpartum/Gynecology (PP/GYN), 2 Operating Room (OR) suites, 23 Wellborn nursery
• Number of Staff: Over 50
• Patient Ratios:
  • Couplets: 3 couples per nurse
  • Labor & Delivery: 1:1 during active labor, Pitocin, or epidural
• Type of Equipment: Corometrics monitoring
• Electronic Medical Records: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech

General Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to mothers and newborns in labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Perform various procedures including Cesarean sections and newborn assessments.
• Participate in OB Emergency Department triage and inductions.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Experience in Obstetrics
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
• Preferred:
  • Experience as a circulator, 1st assist, or scrub for Cesarean sections

Work Schedule

This position includes weekends, requiring four weekend shifts per four-week schedule. Night shifts are Friday and Saturday, with potential opportunities for additional shifts.
