Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate should be proficient in various critical functions and provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cervical examinations and perform antepartum and labor assessments.
• Administer amnioinfusions and epidurals as needed.
• Monitor fetal wellbeing through fetal monitoring techniques.
• Establish IV lines and administer Pitocin as required.
• Circulate during C-sections and provide support to surgical teams.
• Assist in baby catching and conducting APGAR assessments.
• Provide comprehensive breastfeeding education and support.
• Deliver all aspects of post-partum care, including transition to discharge for mothers and their infants.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring.
• Strong experience in labor and delivery settings, including expertise in cervical exams, fetal monitoring, and IV administration.
• Scrub experience is a plus, although scrubs will be provided.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Russian or Spanish, are preferred.

Additional Information

• Facility has a total of 20 beds, including 12 Labor and Delivery and 8 Post-Partum/Antepartum beds.
• Includes 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 operating rooms.
• Features a 6-bed Level II NICU.
• No on-call shifts required.

Technology

Experience with EMR systems, particularly Epic, is strongly preferred.
