Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
Contract Details
- Contract Duration: 48 hours
- Patient Care Ratio: 1 Nurse to 4 Patients
- Start Date: ASAP
Patient Population
The nurse will work with a diverse range of patients, including those experiencing:
- Sepsis
- Heart Failure
- Hypertensive Emergencies
- Respiratory Failure
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (TDM2)
- Substance Abuse Issues
- Encephalopathy
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications, including Heparin drips, as necessary.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions continuously.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU or comparable setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
