We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Unit Information

• 12-bed SICU (6 Critical Acuity)
• Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity
• High-acuity patients including liver/kidney transplants, vascular surgeries, ENT oncology, and abdominal surgeries

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes in status
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members
• Perform critical procedures and interventions, including CRRT and hemodynamic monitoring
• Titrate intravenous medications as required
• Document patient care in the EPIC system

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience in a busy hospital setting
• Experience with critical care skills: ventilator management, chest tubes, and various drains

Additional Information

• Floating required to other ICUs as needed
• Emergency on-call requirements are minimal and infrequent
• Shift scheduling based on unit needs with weekend rotations required
• No self-scheduling; flexibility in scheduling necessary
• Proficient in reading cardiac telemetry strips
• Professional dress code including teal bottoms and coordinating scrub tops
