Unit Information
Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Wichita, KS
Floor: 1
General Information:
- Number of Beds: 14
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Type of Equipment: Chest tubes, IV pumps, and various drains
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Job Requirements
Must have:
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
Preferred:
- Knowledge of medication drips, central lines, and catch recovery
Typical Procedures
No invasive procedures are performed on the unit.
Personality Fit
The ideal candidate will possess a positive, patient-centered attitude, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
Shift Requirements
Must be available to work every other weekend and willing to float to other units as needed.
