Unit Highlights
Join our dynamic Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call Requirements: No call required
Unit Specifics
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Floating Policy: As needed to sister step-down and med-surg units
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Active Texas RN License (temp license will not be accepted)
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
- At least 2 years of hospital experience
- Cardiovascular experience is required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Meditech
Procedures Performed on Unit
- Cardiac Catheterizations
- Post-Operative Care for Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABGs)
Dress Code
All staff must adhere to the following dress code:
- Scrub Color: Royal blue with designated embroidery
- Nail Policy: Clean and healthy, no artificial nails or gel nails
- Hair: Neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors. Long hair must be pulled back.
- Facial Hair: Mustaches and beards should be clean and neatly trimmed.
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; those difficult to cover will be addressed individually.
- Piercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited. This includes nose rings and tongue rings.
