Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Unit Information

Location: Denver, CO

Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level IV

  • Number of Beds: 42
  • Number of Staff: 100
  • Staff Composition: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 14-17 Registered Nurses, 1 Unit Coordinator
  • Patient Ratios: 2:1, 1:1

The unit is equipped with advanced medical technology including:

  • Incubators
  • Radiant Warmers
  • Continuous Cardiorespiratory Monitoring
  • High Frequency Oscillating Ventilation
  • Jet Ventilation
  • Servo Ventilation
  • Tracheostomy Management
  • High-Flow Nasal Cannula
  • Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation (NIPPV)
  • Central Lines and Peripheral IVs
  • Foley Catheters
  • Titrated Medications
  • Continuous and Intermittent IV/PO Medications
  • Chest Tubes
  • Arctic Sun Therapy

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Neonatal Notes Manager, Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of current acute care experience in a Level IV NICU
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Post-surgical care experience
