Description
Job Summary
The Nursing Supervisor provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff. This role involves supervising and directing various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel through professional and supervisory discretion as well as independent judgment. The Nursing Supervisor ensures that all patients receive cost-effective, professional care resulting in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction, while maintaining the highest level of patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management, physicians, and staff to ensure effective unit operations.
- Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel on the unit.
- Utilize professional judgment to assess patient needs and improve care quality.
- Implement and monitor care standards to achieve excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Assess and enhance the overall patient experience within the unit.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards of care.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions based on clinical judgments.
- Commitment to improving patient care and experience.
