Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide professional nursing care to assigned patients in the emergency room. Key responsibilities include:

• Triaging patients and determining the priority of care based on their physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Ensuring efficient patient flow through the emergency care system.
• Managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Moving patients and taking blood samples as needed.
• Cleaning and bandaging wounds, administering medications, and maintaining proper supplies.
• Performing focused assessments of chief complaints according to established triage guidelines.
• Carrying out patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and within the limitations of the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as an RN in the State of Colorado.
• At least two years of experience in critical care nursing is preferred.
• Specialty certification for relevant specialty areas is preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required upon hire.
• TNCC is required upon hire or within one year.
• ENPC or PALS is required within six months, with ENPC preferred.
