- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, Registered Nurses (number varies based on volume), 1 Unit Secretary (Monday-Friday)
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, Registered Nurses (number varies based on volume)
- Patient Ratios: Level 2 (1:2-3), Level 3 (1:3-4)

Position Overview
The NICU Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality care to premature and critically ill neonates. This role involves utilizing specialized skills for neonatal respiratory support, central line management, medication administration, and monitoring. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a calm and compassionate demeanor while engaging effectively with families.
Typical Responsibilities
- Conduct neonatal resuscitation and provide respiratory support.
- Execute feeding tube placement and care for IV/central lines.
- Perform blood draws and administer medications/infusions.
- Implement phototherapy and manage thermoregulation for critically ill neonates.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Recent NICU experience, specifically with the care of premature and critically ill neonates.
- Proficiency in neonatal respiratory support and central line management.
- Ability to administer medications safely to neonates.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Level III/IV NICU settings and attendance at high-risk deliveries.
- Familiarity with ventilators, CPAP, high-frequency ventilation, and various central venous lines (PICC/UVC/UAC).
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) is highly regarded.

Scrubs: Royal Blue
Additional Requirements
Active Registered Nurse license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification are mandatory. Additional certifications may be required based on facility standards.
Floating Areas
May be required to float to Mother-Baby/Postpartum units.
