Description

Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering care to patients in the Emergency Department. This role requires the application of the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and ensuring the safe delivery of care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
  • Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
  • Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, particularly in emergency care.
  • Current nursing license in the state of Arizona.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system is required.
  • Must be willing to float to multiple locations within the region as needed.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including rotating weekends.

Contract Duration

The position is offered for a 13-week duration.
