Description

Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) for an assignment in a long-term care facility located within a hospital in Hawaii. The candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including but not limited to assessments, treatments, and medication administration. The RN will also be responsible for notifying physicians or nurse practitioners of pertinent patient information, as well as assisting with admissions and discharges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Provide care for gastrostomy tubes and urinary catheters.
  • Administer nebulized treatments and manage wound vacs.
  • Deliver CPAP and tracheostomy care as needed.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties related to patient care.

Shift Information

The position requires flexibility, with 8-hour shifts that may include weekends and holidays. There is no guarantee of hours or shift preferences.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care environment.
  • BLS/BCLS certification required.
  • Active Hawaii nursing license required by the start of the assignment.
