Job Description

The X-Ray Technologist operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of specific body parts as ordered by physicians. Key responsibilities include positioning and instructing patients prior to examinations, adjusting x-ray equipment, and determining the appropriate voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce quality radiographs.
• Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions to ensure accurate imaging.
• Adjust x-ray equipment settings, including voltage and current.
• Determine the appropriate exposure time for each radiograph based on patient condition and examination requirements.

Qualifications

• Certification as an X-Ray Technologist or equivalent.
• Knowledge of x-ray equipment and imaging techniques.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
