Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive care to patients across various age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopy, and bedside spirometry.
• Manage patients in inpatient settings across various floors and departments.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure patient care standards are met.
• Participate in team scheduling, including rotating weekend and holiday shifts.
• Engage in multiple levels of patient care, fostering flexibility and adaptability.
• Complete orientation over 3 shifts to familiarize with department protocols and operations.

Qualifications

• Current certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via the NBRC required.
• Experience with respiratory equipment, including Drager and Carefusion ventilators, and other devices such as BPAP and high-flow systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Work Environment

The Respiratory Therapist will operate in an acute care setting, covering all inpatient areas. The facility boasts a supportive team atmosphere with strong collaboration among respiratory therapists, nurses, and providers. This role allows for daily diversity in patient care and clinical challenges.
