Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Department

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking and strong assessment skills while providing exceptional patient care.

Shift Details

• Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• No call required
• No floating to other departments
• 16 beds in the department
• Patient ratio is variable, with a maximum of 4 patients per nurse

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• CPI certification (may be obtained after contract start)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department
• Strong critical care assessment and management skills
• Proficiency in IV skills and cardiac monitoring

Scope of Duties

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Triage of patients
• Critical thinking and clinical assessment
• Provision of nursing skills, including IV/IO access, chest tube management, and catheterization
• Administration and management of critical care drips
