Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Location

Bowling Green, KY

Unit Information

Number of Cath Lab Suites: 2
Patient Ratios: 4-person team per 1 patient
Unit Staffing Description: Cath Lab Scrub Techs available per case
Type of Equipment: GE Cath Lab Equipment, IVUS, VOLCANO
Documentation System: Merge-Cath Lab Application and Meditech
Scheduling Requirements: Call required – 1 weekend/month and 1-2 days per week
Floating Policy: Cath Lab, OP Stress Test
Weekly Hours: 40

Qualifications

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS for Cath Lab RNs and Techs
Tech Certifications: Valid ARRT and RCIS certification for KY
Experience: Minimum 2 years of similar Cath Lab procedures and 1 year of Cath Lab travel experience

Procedures Performed

Diagnostic and Interventional Cath Lab Procedures:

Left Heart Catheterization
Right Heart Catheterization
Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs)
Cardioversion
Pacemaker Implants
Defibrillator Implants
TILT Testing
Stress Tests

Dress Code

Solid color scrubs are required.

State-of-the-art Cath Lab opened in March 2023.
Equipped with brand new Electrophysiology (EP) equipment.
