Description

Cardiovascular Services Nurse

Position Overview

Join a dynamic and fast-paced cardiovascular service line that handles a wide range of cases, excluding transplants. This position involves working in a high-acuity environment, delivering critical care to patients with significant cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care in an acute care setting, addressing the needs of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner charting system.
  • Adapt to the transition to the EPIC system scheduled for November 2026.

Qualifications

  • Strong cardiovascular experience is essential.
  • BSN is not required but is preferred.
  • A current and valid nursing license is required.
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS is mandatory.

Work Environment

This role requires flexibility, with shifts primarily from 7 AM to 7 PM. Weekend availability is necessary. The position is situated in a Level 2 trauma center, ensuring exposure to a diverse range of cases and learning opportunities.

Cancellation Policy

The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
